DealBuddy Privacy Policy

At DealBuddy, an application operated by Tenzify, we believe your financial data and personal information belong to you. We built this application with a privacy-first architecture, focusing on extreme data minimization. This Privacy Policy explains how Tenzify collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the DealBuddy application and website.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect the minimum data required to provide you with our service.

• Account Information: To create an account and save your progress, we require a valid email address.
• Optional Profile Data: You may choose to provide your name and phone number in your profile settings. This is strictly optional and not required to use DealBuddy's core features.
• Deal Sheet Data: When you upload a deal sheet, we process the document to extract financial economics (such as vehicle price, fees, and interest rates) to provide your analysis.
• Market Region: You may input a general city or region to help us generate accurate market comparisons.
• App Usage Data: We collect basic usage data linked to your account (such as how many analyses you run) to enforce plan limits and improve the performance and stability of the app. This data is deleted with your account.

2. Information We DO NOT Collect

To further protect your privacy, we have explicitly designed our systems to avoid handling sensitive data:

• Physical Location: We do not ask for, require, track, or store your GPS location or precise physical address.
• Passwords: We use secure, third-party authentication (Identity and Access Management). We do not store traditional passwords on our servers.
• Payment Information: We do not process or store credit card numbers or bank account details. All transactions are securely handled by third-party processors.

3. How We Process Deal Sheets (AI Integration)

• When you upload a deal sheet for analysis, the image is securely transmitted to our third-party AI processor (Anthropic) to extract the deal's economics.
• We explicitly instruct the AI model not to return or extract any Personally Identifiable Information (PII), such as names, physical addresses, or account numbers.
• We do not retain the original deal sheet images on our servers after the processing is complete.
• The extracted financial data is used solely to generate your analysis and negotiation guidance.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share information with trusted third parties only to the extent necessary to operate our services:

• Authentication: Apple and/or magic-link providers for secure login.
• Payments: Apple In-App Purchases and Stripe process all financial transactions. We receive only confirmation of your transaction status — never your card or bank details.
• Data Processing: Anthropic acts as our AI processor to evaluate deal economics.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your email address and extracted deal economics only for as long as you maintain an active account with DealBuddy. You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time directly through the app settings. Upon account deletion, your email and saved deal profiles are permanently removed from our active servers.

6. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a resident of California, you are granted specific rights regarding access to your personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

• Right to Know: You can request details about the personal information we have collected about you.
• Right to Delete: You can request the deletion of your personal data.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
• Do Not Sell My Personal Information: Tenzify does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration.

7. Children's Privacy

DealBuddy is designed for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a minor, we will take immediate steps to delete that information.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy and, where required, providing notice within the DealBuddy application.
